The Michigan personal injury law firm of Goodman Acker, P.C. is excited
to announce that Senior Partner and Attorney Barry Goodman has been named
2015 Leader in the Law by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.
Leaders in the Law are attorneys who are leaders in the community, forward
thinkers and best exemplify the noble tradition of the legal profession.
Goodman will be presented with the prestigious award at the Michigan Lawyers
Weekly Leaders in Law annual luncheon on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the
Detroit Marriott Troy.
Honorees are nominated by colleagues, clients and other professionals in
the legal field.

but also know that it is because my peers, clients and other legal professionals
nominated me to receive this award," says Goodman.
To be an honoree, an attorney is evaluated on his professional accomplishments

Goodman has devoted his professional life to helping victims attain justice
after being involved in a personal injury accident. Goodman earned his
undergraduate degree from Bradley University in 1974 and his J.D. from
Stetson University College of Law in 1977.
His legal career began in Florida with a small general practice firm, where
he stayed for two years before moving to Michigan. Goodman teamed up with
Gerald H. Acker in 1993, where they formed the Southfield based law firm,
Goodman Acker, P.C.
In addition to being named 2015 Leader in Law, Goodman has also been honored with a
10.0 Superb AVVO rating, has an AV rating from
Martindale-Hubbell, recognized by several Who's Who Legal publications, honored with the
Champion of Justice Award from the Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ) as well as the Wings of Justice Award by the Oakland County Democratic
Party, awarded the 'American Patriot' award by the Michigan Veterans
Foundation, and since the inception of Super Lawyers, has been awarded
the honor of being titled a Michigan Super Lawyer.
He has also served as the Former President of the MAJ and is a longtime
board member of the Anti-Defamation League.
