Jordan B. Acker, attorney and Director of Business Development at Goodman
Acker P.C., recently received the Up & Coming Lawyers Award, Class
of 2016 from
Michigan Lawyers Weekly. This is an award bestowed upon legal practitioners who are in their first
10 years of practice and have exhibited ambition, drive, and determination
in a way that sets them apart from their fellow peers.
Jordan worked for the Michigan Democratic Party as the Deputy Communications
Director after earning his B.A. in History from the University of Michigan
in 2006. While working on staff for U.S. Representative John Conyers for
the House Judiciary Committee in Washington, D.C., he displayed a passion
for issues regarding the powers of the president in wartime, civil rights,
and the NBA labor dispute. This passion eventually paved the way for him
to attend American University Washington College of Law, where he earned
his J.D. in 2010.
At Goodman Acker P.C., Jordan focuses on personal injury litigation and
political consulting, but also enjoys the hands-on process of growing
the firm. As an active member of the community, Jordan educates the public
on their legal rights, and is involved in a number of professional organizations,
including the Michigan Association for Justice, a non-profit organization
dedicated to furthering civil justice.
Goodman Acker P.C. is a
