Barry J. Goodman

Mr. Goodman has a Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law. He was admitted to practice in Florida in 1977 and Michigan in 1979. He has also practiced extensively in the Federal Courts of both states. He has been a member of the Michigan Trial Lawyers since 1985, and has served in the capacity of Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President, President Elect and President of that organization.

Mr. Goodman also has been a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association since 1979, has served as a case evaluator for the Wayne and Oakland Counties, has acted as an arbitrator for the plaintiff on hundreds of matters, and sits as a member of an Attorney Grievance Commission hearing panel. He has also been a frequent lecturer for the State Bar of Michigan, the Michigan Trial Lawyers and the Institute of Continuing Education.

Mr. Goodman’s career has been devoted to the battle for the preservation of the civil justice system, whether by representing victims, educating other attorneys, assisting in the formulation of positive legislation, or working with the political arena to place like thinkers into the appropriate position of power.
