Veterans' Fundraiser

veterans-event

When: Wednesday November 11th, 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Where: Detroit Tough Gym, 1244 Beech Street, Detroit MI 48226

According to a July 2013 report done by the Homeless Action Network of Detroit (HAND), it had identified at least 1,924 homeless adults in our community who are veterans. Among them, 37 percent of homeless veterans were single and 51 percent were part of a homeless family. Of that 51 percent, many said they were homeless for the first time in 2012.

We are asking for your help!

This is a serious issue that we should not ignore. That is why Goodman Acker and Detroit Tough Gym have decided to take an initiative to help honor our heroes and give them the support they need. With your help we can help eliminate Detroit’s Homeless Veterans! Let us not forget the brave sacrifices our veterans have made to keep us safe and fight for our great nation. Let’s help eliminate homelessness within our Detroit Veteran community and let them know their sacrifices have not been forgotten.Senior Partner of Goodman Acker, Jerry Acker.
