Marvel at the holiday vignettes presented in period attire, shop for some memorable Christmas gifts, and learn some new holiday cooking tips from one of the holiday cooking demonstrations. Adult general admission tickets start at $62, while children from 3-4 can participate for $30 and youths from 5-11 for $54. To enhance your experience, you can choose a dining package or a meeting with Santa for an additional fee. Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village will be December 3-5, 9-12, 16-23, and 26-28. A Charlie Brown Christmas – Live on Stage is a fantastic little chunk of nostalgia parents can share with their kids to keep a tradition alive or create a new one. For one day only at Detroit’s Fox Theatre, the Peanuts special and the feature characters come to life on stage and work to uncover the true meaning of Christmas. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra will take the stage of the Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, for two performances. The award-winning, progressive rock group brings its music to Detroit for a family-centered concert to please musicians and dancers alike. Christmas Eve and Other Stories is a 25th-anniversary celebratory performance that tells the tale of a young girl working to reunite with her father. The tour and performance will also feature fan favorites and seasonal classics like “Promises to Keep,” “Old City Bar,” “This Christmas Day,” and “Wizards in Winter.”
Little Caesars Arena is at 2645 Woodward Ave. With two performances, one at 3 p.m. and one at 8 p.m., you’ll find a slot to fit your schedule. The 18th Annual Detroit Tree Lighting is a free event that marks the start of the holiday season for many Detroit families. It is an unforgettable family-friendly event in Campus Martius Park. The event will feature live entertainment, Olympic figure skaters, local performers and musicians, and skating clubs. Lighting attractions, carriages drawn by horses, hot chocolate, food trucks, holiday shopping, and Santa round out a few of the attractions for this event.
The event, scheduled for November 19 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., gets packed, so arrive early to ensure you have a spot to watch all the action.
