Last winter the Michigan Legislature voted to eliminate straight party voting.

Goodman Acker attorney Mark Brewer has been working to ensure the rights of Michigan voters is not taken away.

The U.S. District Court and Court of Appeals recently issued opinions that kept the straight party voting option available to Michigan voters in the November election.

However, on Friday, September 2nd, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette took the case against straight party voting to the U.S. Supreme Court.

With the November 8th election not being far away, Schuette has asked for an answer by tomorrow, September 8th.

Goodman Acker will continue the fight for the rights of Michigan voters. Today we filed our Response to the Stay Application with the U.S. Supreme Court.
