On Wednesday, Goodman Acker P.C. filed a Response to the Stay Application with the U.S. Supreme Court in a case seeking to eliminate straight party voting in Michigan. Today, we have received the Court’s answer. Our team is pleased to announce that the U.S. Supreme Court has declined to let Michigan’s new ban on straight-party voting take effect for the November election, rejecting state officials’ request to halt lower court rulings that blocked the Republican-sponsored law.

Attorney Mark Brewer’s skillful handling of this case has ensured that the rights of Michigan voters have been protected and upheld. A countless number of voters who use, depend on, and expect to be able to use straight ticket voting in the upcoming November election will continue to be able to use this option.

This is a significant victory for our firm and for Michigan voters.

Your Constitutional rights are important to us. We will continue to fight to protect them at all costs should your voting liberties again be threatened in the future.
