While our client’s mother was not covered by an insurance policy, our client herself was covered under her sister’s policy with Everest National Insurance Company. Under Michigan’s no-fault insurance laws, our client filed a claim with her insurance policy to account for the injuries she acquired in the collision, which occurred on October 6, 2018.
Our client was entitled to damages for:
- Medical bills,
- Attendant care,
- Wage loss,
- Replacement services,
- Out-of-pocket expenses,
- Mileage,
- And other personal protection benefits.
Unfortunately, Everest National Insurance Company immediately denied our client’s claim and placed it under investigation. The insurance company would not pay our client the benefits she was owed and even made efforts to rescind her policy.
Fortunately, our client contacted Goodman Acker P.C. After hearing about her case, our legal team filed suit against Everest National Insurance Company in Wayne County Circuit Court. Despite the insurance company’s best efforts, we were able to recover full benefits on our client’s behalf.
With the help of our firm, our client received a $600,000 no-fault insurance settlement.
