Our client is a National Guard veteran and former Sergeant, Airman 3rd class of the United States Air Force. Aside from being a veteran, he is a husband, father of three biological and three adopted children, and a grandfather of six with one on the way.
The accident occurred on August 8, 2017, our client’s 61st birthday. Our client was making a left-hand turn at the intersection of Mound Road and Heathdale Ave when he was struck by a semi-truck that ran a red light.
As a result of the collision, our client suffered significant injuries including an ankle fracture, multiple rib fractures, diaphragmatic rupture and acute respiratory failure.
Goodman Acker, P.C. represented our client against the big trucking company for his pain and suffering damages. The lawsuit was filed in Macomb County Circuit Court, and settled with the assistance of the trial court judge on June 19, 2019.
