A man sitting in first class was seen exposing himself and masturbating by airline personnel 40 minutes into the two-hour flight. At that point, the airline staff called Detroit Airport Police to apprehend the man once the plane had landed. However, instead of asking a known sexual predator to remain seated for the remainder of his flight, they allowed him to wander the plane where he approached our client.
The man proceeded to sexually assault our client, a hard working waitress and mother, placing his hands underneath her shorts. Our client was unable to move, as the larger gentlemen blocked her exit. The man, a South Carolina resident, named Christopher Finkley, was convicted for simple assault and indecent exposure by a Federal Magistrate in Detroit and sentenced at the end of March. Delta has offered $2500 in airline vouchers as compensation for our client's suffering.
Our client and Goodman Acker, P.C. Attorney Gerald Acker spoke to the media in a press conference at the offices of Goodman Acker, located at 17000 West Ten Mile Road, Second Floor, Southfield, MI.
