Associate Attorney Ronita Bahri Wins $1M Settlement for Injured Teen in Macomb County
Goodman Acker associate attorney Ronita Bahri has recently secured a sizable settlement of $1 million for a minor who was injured while riding his bike in Macomb County. The 14-year old boy was riding his bike along the sidewalk when he was struck by a large box truck that was pulling out of the parking lot. The boy suffered severe injuries including pelvic fractures and urethral injuries. Due to the extensive nature of his injuries, the boy had to undergo prolonged medical treatment and remained in the hospital for several months.
Attorney Bahri, a native of Iraq and a Chaldean, is trilingual, speaking her native Aramaic, Arabic (which she learned while living in Iraq and Jordan), and English here in the United States. English is not the native language for the boy and his family. Attorney Bahri was able to serve the family by communicating with them in Arabic and Aramaic.
The case was settled through facilitation in May of 2018. The injured boy and his family are now receiving fair compensation for medical and long-term costs associated with his injuries.
