Congratulations to Cloverleaf Bar & Restaurant, our Good Food, Good Decision Winner!

Marie Easterby - Owner of Cloverleaf Bar & Restaurant

Thank you to everyone who voted and helped support our local restaurants during our Good Food, Good Decision contest. The restaurant and service industry has been deeply affected by the pandemic. We wanted to give everyone an opportunity to go out and get a meal at their favorite restaurant at half price compliments of Goodman Acker, while at the same time bringing in revenue for the restaurant. Serving the community is important to Goodman Acker and this is just one of the ways that we were able to give back. The restaurant wins, you win, now that’s a good decision.

Huge Success!

The event was a huge success and we had a great turnout. Goodman Acker covered over $3,500 bringing in over $7,000 in revenue for Cloverleaf Bar & Restaurant in one day! Over 400 people dined in and they had over 600 calls for carry-out. AMAZING! We can’t thank you all enough for being a part of this event and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Goodman Acker Pays Half Your Tab in Our Good Food, Good Decision Contest!

If you’re like us, it’s been a long year-plus dealing with this pandemic, and you are about ready to be done with it. We’re as eager as anyone to get things back to normal, but the fact is we’re not there, yet. In the meantime, we’ve lost a lot of Detroit metro area businesses already, and we know there are plenty of businesses that need our continued support.

As close as we are to kicking this thing, it’s still possible that even more of our favorite restaurants might not make it. Can you imagine fighting this long only to go under at the eleventh hour?

We at Goodman Acker cannot, and we want to do a little something to help support local businesses. In that spirit, we’re excited to present to you the Good Food, Good Decision Contest.

We’ve collaborated with some of our favorite local restaurants for some friendly competition and local promotion—and you stand to get a meal at half the price.

Voting has now ended.

How the Good Food, Good Decision Contest Works

The concept is pretty simple. Vote below for your favorite restaurant between May 10th and May 24th. Votes before May 10th will not be tabulated.

The winner will be announced on May 26th.

Then, on June 3rd, dine in or carry out at the winning restaurant, and Goodman Acker will pick up half your tab.

That’s right: We’re covering half of all food orders up to $2,000, meaning together we can drive up to $4,000 in sales to the restaurant with the most supportive and loyal customers.

Vote below for your favorite, and then campaign for your pick by sharing this page with your friends and family and on all your social media feeds.

Make sure you leave some room for tiramisu, though. Plenty of outdoor seating options are available–we’re confident you’ll enjoy soaking up the sun in warm company with good food here.

  • Cloverleaf, Eastpointe – Bite into a slice at one of the restaurants that made Detroit an iconic spot on the pizza lover’s map. Family-owned and -operated, Cloverleaf is yet another local restaurant we love.

Other Rules, Restriction, and Recommendations

One vote per person. You can try gaming the system, but we’ve got a pretty good database, so only your first vote will count. Anyways, this is a friendly neighborhood kind of contest designed to get people excited about local restaurants; we ask you to participate in that spirit. The better strategy is to share the link and tell all your friends, family, and followers to vote.

This promotion applies to the first $4,000 in sales at the winning restaurant, half of which Goodman Acker will pay. If you’re the next customer in line after that $4,000 mark, well, it isn’t your lucky day. The good news is that you’re about to have a delicious meal and to support a great local business.

Sorry, this promotion does not cover alcoholic beverages. You’re welcome to imbibe—responsibly—but you’ll have to cover the cost yourself.

If your favorite restaurant did not win the Good Food, Good Decision Contest, please don’t take it personally. Instead, show them some love by ordering from them the next time you’re looking for a place to eat.
