Associate medical malpractice attorney

Joshua C. Mayowski

At a young age, Joshua was always passionate about helping others in need. This sparked his obsession with the medical field and justice system that continued into his adulthood.

During his undergraduate studies at Wayne State University, Joshua worked as a patient transporter at a local hospital. After graduating with his Bachelor of Science in criminal justice, he began working as a corrections officer for the Michigan Department of Corrections. Always a scholar, Joshua couldn’t suppress his urge to learn. This inspired him to attend law school, as becoming an attorney was a perfect avenue to combine his passions for the medical and legal professions.

Joshua attended law school at the Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. Throughout law school, he clerked for multiple personal injury firms representing people who were injured in auto accidents, slip-and-falls, and other personal injury actions. He graduated with honors in 2020 and began practicing medical malpractice defense before joining the team at Goodman Acker to pursue his true passion of helping people who have been injured following medical procedures.

Joshua is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, and a board member of the State Bar of Michigan Litigation Section.

In his free time, Joshua enjoys traveling, playing soccer, spending time with family and friends, and taking his dachshund, Walter, for walks.
