Joshua Mayowski’s journey into the legal profession was driven by a deep-rooted passion for both the medical field and the pursuit of justice. From an early age, Joshua’s innate desire to assist those in need fueled his commitment to making a difference in people’s lives.

During his undergraduate years at Wayne State University, Joshua immersed himself in the medical realm, working diligently as a patient transporter at a local hospital. This hands-on experience provided him with invaluable insights into the challenges faced by individuals in medical settings, further igniting his determination to effect positive change.

Upon earning his Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice, Joshua embarked on a career in the justice system, beginning as a corrections officer for the Michigan Department of Corrections. However, his thirst for knowledge and his unwavering dedication to service led him down a new path – one that seamlessly merged his passions for medicine and law.

Driven by his scholarly pursuits, Joshua pursued a legal education at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. Throughout his time in law school, he honed his skills by clerking for various personal injury firms, advocating for individuals who had suffered injuries in accidents and other personal injury cases. Graduating with honors in 2020, Joshua’s academic achievements paved the way for his transition into the field of medical malpractice defense.

Today, Joshua serves as a dedicated member of the esteemed team at Goodman Acker, where he channels his true passion into advocating for individuals who have been harmed following medical procedures. As a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association, Joshua remains committed to upholding the highest standards of legal excellence and integrity.

Getting to Know Joshua

Beyond his professional endeavors, Joshua finds joy in exploring the world through travel, embarking on outdoor adventures such as hiking, and indulging in his love for soccer. He cherishes moments spent with his cherished circle of family and friends, and he delights in the companionship of his loyal dachshund, Walter, whom he enjoys taking for leisurely strolls.
