Ronita’s legal career is underpinned by a foundation of academic achievement and multicultural fluency. As the first member of her family to attend college, she excelled academically, graduating magna cum laude from Wayne State University with dual degrees in political science and psychology. Her academic prowess laid the groundwork for her subsequent legal education at the University of San Francisco, School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor.

Upon returning to Detroit in 2014, Ronita pursued a career path driven by her passion for advocacy and service. Joining Goodman Acker P.C. in 2015, she sought to leverage her legal expertise to champion the rights of individuals navigating the complexities of personal injury and no-fault insurance cases. Drawing from her prior experiences, including her role as a legal and policy associate at Michigan Community Resources, Ronita brings a unique blend of legal acumen and community engagement to her practice.

هي مواطنة أصلية من العراق وهي كلدانية الأصل، انتقلت رونيتا بحري إلى الولايات المتحدة مع عائلتها كلاجئة في سن الثامنة واستقرت في منطقة ديترويت. وأصبحت تتحدث بثلاث لغاتٍ في سنٍ مبكرةٍ، بالإضافة إلى الكلدانية لغتها الأم، فقد تعلمت العربية عندما كانت تعيش في العراق والأردن، والإنجليزية هنا في الولايات المتحدة. بحري، هي الأصغر من بين ستة أخوة، كانت الوحيدة من بين أفراد عائلتها التي تذهب إلى الجامعة. وهي لم تذهب فقط إلى الجامعة، بل تخرجت أيضاً بتقدير امتياز من جامعة ولاية واين في عام 2011 وحصلت على درجة البكالوريوس في العلوم السياسية وعلم النفس.

بعد حصولها على درجة البكالوريوس، أقدمت بحري على سان فرانسيسكو بمنظورٍ جديدٍ للحياة وحصلت على درجة الدكتوراة في القانون من كلية الحقوق، بجامعة سان فرانسيسكو. في عام 2014، وبعد التخرج عادت إلى منطقة ديترويت مع هدف واحد في الاعتبار: خدمة المجتمع.

فهي تقول: “اشتقت إلى وطني”، وتضيف: “ودائماً ما كنت أريد أن أكون في المجال الذي يمكنني من مساعدة المحتاجين.”
