We are happy to announce that Attorney Jordan Acker, the director of business development of Goodman Acker P.C. of Southfield, has graduated from the 2015 Michigan Political Leadership Program (MPLP) at Michigan State University. He is one of 24 rising leaders selected by the MPLP who participated in the 10-month course of study covering areas of debate, leadership, and experience.

The MPLP curriculum covers best practices in policy analysis, social media, campaign advertising, and finance. Since its inception in 1992, the program has brought together diverse groups of individuals throughout the state to train, and inspire them to be tomorrow’s public policy leaders. The program is designed to prepare these individuals with the vision, commitment, and skills necessary for effective governance. Since the program began, 45 percent of MPLP alumni have served or are currently serving in an elected or appointed capacity, with 14 graduates who have gone on to serve as members of the Michigan House of Representatives.

Jordan and the rest of the graduates of the program will be honored at a dinner in Livonia on March 3 and a breakfast in Grand Rapids on March 4.

We are extremely proud of this accomplishment and the value that it brings to Jordan’s professional and personal goals. Congratulations!
